Tatsuo Ido PhD. Chaired Professor and Director of Theragnostic compound R&D center, Neuroscience Research Institute, Gachon University ( Republic of Korea) and Emeritus Professor of Tohoku University (Japan). He had completed his PhD. of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Graduate school of Tokyo University (Tokyo, Japan) in 1970. He has investigated in PET radiopharmaceuticals in near 50 years at National Institute of Radiological Sciences ( Chiba, Japan), Brookhaven National Institute (Long Island, USA) and Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan). In 1976 at BNL, he had succeeded first synthesis of 18FDG and applied to human brain functional study. After retired of professor of Tohoku University, He had continuous research work as professor of High energy Biomedical Research Center of Fukui University ( Fukui, Japan). From 2007 to 2012, he had leaded to stable supply of radioisotopes in Japan at Japan Radioisotope Association as executive director. From 2013 until present, he is working continuously in development new PET radiopharmaceuticals in Neuroscience research field.

Dr. Vaina presently serves at Boston University as a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and a Research Professor of Neurology in the School of Medicine. Dr. Vaina is also associated with the Neurology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School-Department of Neurology. She is on the faculty of the Athinoula A. Martino’s Center for Biomedical Imaging at Harvard University and a Research Affiliate in the Center for Biological and Computational Learning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of Brain and Cognitive Science. She is Director of the Brain and Vision Research Laboratory at Boston University and co-director of the Neurology of Vision Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Vaina’s research is in core problems in cognitive neuroscience and neurology. She is using various methods including experimentation/psychophysics, computational modeling, neuropsychological & behavioral neurology approaches with brain-damaged patients, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and magneto encephalography (MEG). Dr. Vaina has published 144 peer-reviewed research articles and has authored/edited five books on cognitive and visual science. She served as a charter member of the National Institute of Health (NIH) Perception and Cognition Study Section, and on the National Science Foundation, Brain Initiative Review Panel. She is the chief editor of the American Journal of Case Reports and the Section Editor on Neuroscience & Neurology of the Medical Science Monitor. In 2000 Dr. Vaina was nominated the Millennium Professor at the University of Bologna, and between 2003 and 2006 she held the prestigious Rientro dei Cervelli Award at the same University. She has been elected a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (2004) and she received a doctorate Honoris Causa in Medicine-Neurology, from the Vasile Goldis University, Romania. Dr. Vaina holds a Ph. D. in Mathematical Logic from Sorbonne, France, and a M.D./Ph.D. from the University of Toulouse, France. Dr. Alexander Shtilbans is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders Institute of Weil Cornell Medical College. He is a Movement Disorders specialist whose clinical and research interests are in the area of Neurodegenerative diseases in general and in Parkinson disease and ALS in particular. Having started out as a molecular biologist in Neuroscience, after obtaining his Ph.D., he had transitioned into clinical Neurology to work with patients and to better understand the clinical course of the diseases. Dr. Shtilbans received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in Neurology and served as a chief resident. Subsequently, he completed his clinical fellowship in Movement Disorders at Columbia University. Dr. Shtilbans has a longstanding interest in translational research and currently leads several NIH-funded clinical trials on Parkinson's Disease as a principal investigator and also is involved in studies on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. As a physician scientist, Dr. Shtilbans is interested in developing new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. His goal is to better understand molecular mechanisms of the neurodegenerative processes by being actively involved in both clinical and basic science research. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and received awards from the American Academy of Neurology.
Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders
Harish C. Pant received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Agra University, Agra, India. His postdoctoral studies were conducted on the mechanisms of electron and ion transport in model membrane systems at the Department of Biophysics at Michigan State University. He joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology in the NIMH as a senior staff fellow in 1974 with Ichiji Tasaki where he studied the function of the axonal cytoskeleton in the squid giant axon. In 1979 he moved to the NIAAA extending his studies on the neuronal cytoskeleton and the effects of alcohol on its regulation. He moved to the NINDS, Laboratory of Neurochemistry in 1987 where he is presently chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation. His laboratory is studying the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeleton proteins by post-translational modification, including the role of kinase cascades in normal brain and during neurodegeneration.

Dr. George Perry is currently the dean of the College of Sciences and professor of biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After graduation in Zoology from University of California, Santa Barbara, he headed to Scripps Institution of Oceanography and also studied at Hopkins Marine Station of Stanford University and the Marine Biological Laboratory of Woods Hole and obtained his PhD in Marine Biology in 1979. Vahe Poghosyan received his MSc in Mathematics (1997) from Yerevan State University and PhD in Neurophysiology (2000) from National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Rodney O. Leacock, M.D., neurointensivist at Palmetto Health Neurosurgery Associates, is board certified in neurology, neurocritical care and vascular neurology. Leacock received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed his neurology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
